well it's after 8p and i'm just posting this, but hey at least it's friday : )

 

 

braids

i am obsessed with braids!!  i mean look at that hair!  i've been growing my hair out for like 3 years just so i can braid it again!!  i try each week to make it work, but this week it finally worked!!  i can braid my hair again, it's not this pretty but it's getting there.

 

 

skeleton keys

i love finding super fun skeleton keys!  they are just so neat, and all the history that you just don't know.  mysterious little things aren't they?  this one can be found in my shop.

 

 

surprise packages

i love to send out packages!!  that is no secret, but i really, really love sending out packages when the receiver isn't expecting one!!  there is just something special about snail mail.  this one went out today.  do you ever send secret packages?

 

 

screenprinting

this started out as a hobby, when my hobby turned into a business.  but it has now turned into work as well.  but it's cool...i love doing it!  this is a new shirt in the works for greythread.  i love capturing something onto fabric forever!!

 

 

words

this is definitely my go to for everything good or bad!  i've found myself telling myself and others this a lot more lately!  i do trust that even if i make decisions or detours God knew i was going to.  and if he is the one who opens the door for us it will be.

 

 

on a side note i'd like you all to take a look at my nomination for martha stewart's american made awards.  the voting doesn't start until september 7, and i have to make it through a round of judging.  but you should still keep it on your radar : )

well i am just a tad late on last weeks five things.  but i thought i'd go ahead and post them anyways!!

i think it's safe to say that we all get a little caught up in our own plans from time to time.  and this poster is such a pretty reminder that we are not in charge!

macarons

okay let's be real, macarons are not one of my favorites this week!!  they are my favorite every week!!  i love them so much.  i haven't actually found a place around here that makes them.  i know of a few in atlanta, but no where in gainesville.

birthday celebrations

richard's birthday was saturday!!  i can't believe my husband is 29!!  we enjoyed the entire day!  ihop for breakfast, a round of golf {i took my kindle}, dinner and ice cream with both families!  a while back i signed us up for a few birthday freebies so his breakfast and ice cream were both free!!

loafers

i am obsessed with loafers, i've already gotten two pair this year and it's not even fall yet!  I picked up a vintage pair at mustard seed, and a burgundy pair at target.  i have not stopped wearing the target ones since i first purchased them!

 

pretty displays

isn't this votive display so beautiful!!  i want to light candles all throughout the house!!  it's such a simple idea, but these little displays would add a lovely amount of color to any room.
